Design is the main reason for me getting into this type of work and seems to take an ever growing role in the sucsess of any project I've worked on. Part science part subjective, good design is one of the most elussive qualities of software design.
Media Manager on FiOS TV

Media Manager is traditionaly a desktop application for as you would expect, managing your media.
When Verizon wanted to integrate this with their TV service I designed the UX and interface for the FiOS experience.

A lot of my work at Verizon centered around the user experience of FiOS TV viewers. While being a wonderfull area to work in it gave many challenges you don't get with other web type interfacing.
Getting the input device to work well with the FiOS on screen experience was key. Here are a few early remote designs that tried to tie the two together.
